Faculty Member Commitment
You don’t need a commitment from a faculty member to apply, but it helps to have made contact first. Our faculty can also help you with questions about which program is the right fit, or point you towards faculty who’s research you haven’t seen yet.
NOTE: Biology, Ecology, and MCIBS require students to identify potential faculty when they apply
Contacting Faculty
There are lots of resources out there for “how to contact faculty.” If you review these resources and follow their advice, you will not only make a better first impression on your prospective advisor, but you will also get a more helpful and thorough response!
How do I get more details if I need to ask questions?
Each program has slightly different procedures, so follow the process for the program that interests you —the links below will take you to application sites for each program. (If you can’t decide, get in touch with one of our faculty and they can help direct you.)
