The Forest Regeneration and Climate Experiment (FORCE) is an in-situ climate manipulation in Penn State s Stone Valley Research Forest. The research site was clear cut harvest in 2007 and in spring 2008 plots were estalished that receive 2?C increase in air temperature, 20% additional precipitation of the long-term average, both temperature and precipitation increase, or no climate manipulation. From March to October 2009, I conducted biweekly vegetation inventories in these plots to assess the impacts of our climate treatments on woody and herbaceous communities. I will present my finding on the effects of simulated climate change on community composition, structure, and phenology.
