Parag Chary is a Senior Principal Scientist, Global Biologics Research at Zoetis Inc., where he conducts vaccine research and development. He has a Veterinary Degree from India, M.S and PhD.D form University of Minnesota, Residency Certificate from the University of Georgia and Post-Doctoral training from Rockefeller University/Cornell Medical School and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Chary is a Veterinarian, Immunologist and Pathologist and Project Team Leader with a broad understanding of disease. He has extensive experience and is interested in designing and executing a variety of studies, and performing diagnostic and pathological evaluations in a variety of animal species. He has also developed vaccine/biological candidates/ challenge models for various bacterial and viral avian infectious diseases. He has led target and non-target animal safety studies for vaccine and pharmaceutical registration. Led novel concepts, ideas, projects and in vivo studies utilizing vaccines, bio therapeutics and small molecules (pharmaceutical). He is involved in medium scale bio-processing of viral vaccines. He has a U.S patent in the area of Poultry Performance and is interested in innovative ways of improving muscle yields.
