A presentation and discussion on four experiments.
Center for Cellular Dynamics
Center for cellular dynamics mini-meeting, Penn State
October 17, 2008 @ 03:30 pm to 06:00 pm
Berg Auditorium
The goal of the mini-meeting is to stimulate thoughtful interactions between CCD lab members around a group of exciting talks. The meeting will have two science sessions, and an intervening reception/discussion. In the first science session we have asked four speakers to each present a single experiment. Rather than short talks that whip by without a moment to think about the ideas and results, we would like this to be a session with short talks where we can fully consider why a particular experiment was done, and what it tells us. 2:30-3:30: Singles Session - each speaker will present a single experiment (and background) so that we can concentrate on thinking about all its implications. The speakers are: Gong Chen Bernhard Luscher Will Hancock Melissa Rolls 3:30-4:00: Reception and Discussion 4:00-5:00: Keynote Session - Experimental and computational analysis of Golgi apparatus function: putting paradigms to the test by Jennifer Lippincott-Schwartz Sponsored by the Center for Cellular Dynamics (CCD)
